St John's College is in the heart of Oxford, 10 minutes' walk from the train station and 5 minutes' walk from the coach station. The main entrance is on the east side of St Giles in the city centre.
Oxford is about 60 miles from London. It is easy to get to by car, coach or train from all directions.
Oxford is an historic, pedestrian-friendly city which is best explored on foot. Parking is extremely limited in the city centre. A limited amount of short-stay, Pay and Display parking is available on St Giles, but visitors are encouraged to use our excellent Park and Ride bus facilities on the outskirts of the city.
From London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, take The Airline coach service, which runs 24 hours a day. You can also get to Oxford by train from Heathrow via London, and from Gatwick via Reading.
From London Stansted airport, take the Stansted Express train service to Liverpool Street and then take the tube to either Paddington or Marylebone for direct trains to Oxford. Alternatively there is a National Express 757 coach service.
Direct services run from London Paddington (to Oxford station) and London Marylebone (to Oxford and Oxford Parkway stations). Other services operate from the north via Birmingham New Street; from the south via Reading; and from the west via Didcot or Reading.
